Dr Volker Perten is a lawyer and a partner at BUSE.
One focus of his work is providing advice and legal representation in all areas of Reputation Protection, particularly Press and Privacy Law, both during and after communication crises. Amongst his clients, he counts international companies, as well as medium-sized companies, associations and advocacy groups from all areas of business and society.

Dr Perten is also specialised in Public Media Law. Amongst other clients, he advises the public sector on questions related to Information and Data Protection and broadcasters on questions related to Broadcasting Law.
Before joining BUSE, he founded the legal firm Prinz Lüssmann Perten together with Prof Dr Matthias Prinz and Dr Nina Lüssmann. There, Dr Perten was responsible for advising commercial enterprises and their agents in questions related to the Right to Privacy and Reputation Protection.
